About the Area
It might be the business center of San Francisco, but the Financial District has a lot going on outside the office. Tadich Grille, the city’s oldest restaurant, is still operating, and the nearby Chinatown bleeds into the neighborhood at House of Nanking, Great Eastern Restaurant, and Z&Y. You could also go out for cocktails at jazz bar Comstock Saloon, hit up tiki bar Pagan Idol, or take a bite of the city’s best sweets at See’s Candies. None of this even includes the number of waterfront options here, like The Slanted Door, Hard Water, and Hog Island Oyster Co. But again, it is the business center, so there’s also a wealth of convenient high-end hotels for all work-trip needs.
